Here at the SDSU Dairy Bar, we make and serve over 50 locally-made varieties of ice cream and sherbet, along with ice cream sandwiches, milk, butter and 13 varieties of cheese—all made on-site from milk produced just two miles north of town.
And while we’re known for our ice cream, the Dairy Bar also serves up sandwiches and coffee—making it not only a place to satisfy your sweet tooth but a great spot to grab a bite to eat, as well.
A Place for Students
The SDSU Dairy Bar employs both undergraduate and graduate students, allowing them a role in all stages of the dairy-making process. This lets students gain valuable job experience and knowledge impossible to achieve in the classroom. Attention and opportunities like this have helped graduates from the Dairy Science department enjoy a 100 percent placement rate for over a decade.
